In early 2022, Samsung will announce its latest Galaxy series of high-end smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will once again be the top model of the series and beautiful 3D renders have already been made of this flagship.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
The Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22 Plus and the Galaxy S22 Ultra will make many hearts beat faster from now until the launch early next year. They are therefore very popular smartphones that mark the start of a year for Samsung. We also notice a flurry of rumors every year, from press images to pictures ‘in the wild’ and from leaked specs to accessories.
Renders also belong to this category and these are digital images, mostly based on dimensions of the unannounced phone. These dimensions are often shared by the manufacturer with cover manufacturers well in advance so that they can get started with accessories. Let’s Go Digital has now teamed up with a graphic designer to create a series of 3D renders of Samsung’s anticipated flagship. The images show the phone in the colors black, white and dark red and according to Ice Universe Samsung will provide the latter color with the name ‘Burgundy Red’, known from the Galaxy S8 and S9, as well as the product renders below.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra camera
According to the well-known and reliable rumor spreader OnLeaks, the S22 Ultra will have a P-shaped camera island on the back containing a periscope camera. An other rumor spreader states that Samsung is going for a two-piece camera setup with space between the left and right parts. You can see that in the image above. A case manufacturer has ‘confirmed’ this design using an aluminum dummy. Several messages point to a two-piece camera setup and although this design is not yet certain, the graphic designer has started working on it.
A two-piece camera island corresponds to current Galaxy S21 smartphones and also provides a reduction in weight. For example, the Galaxy S21 Ultra weighs no less than 228 grams because the camera island consists of one piece. According to Let’s Go Digital, the phone will likely be equipped with the cameras listed below. The telephoto camera would thereby improve in resolution. In addition, all four cameras would receive optical image stabilization.

It was also previously suggested that the S22 Ultra will look more like the Note phones, and the renders give the phone the characteristic sleek, business look of the Note. An S Pen could this time be stored in the S22 Ultra, and not in a separate case like the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has. The stylus can then be stored in the lower left side.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series comes with One UI 4.0 that is based on Android 12. The emphasis is on control over privacy and possibilities to make the software shell look the way you want. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra chipset
As in previous years, Samsung will also opt for two processors with the new Galaxy S series, the Exynos chipset for Europe and the Snapdragon counterpart for the United States. Support for 5G mobile internet will also be available again. In addition, for the sake of convenience, we assume that Samsung opts for the same memory variants as this year. Expanding the memory via a microSD card will not be possible.

According to this new rumor, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 will come without major fast charging upgrade. A 25 watt charger is already certified. It seems likely that Samsung gives its users the choice between a cheaper 25-watt fast charger and a more powerful 45-watt charger or a 65-watt one. The battery would again have a capacity of 5,000 mAh.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra price and availability
The launch of the Galaxy 22 Ultra may have been delayed due to delays with the Galaxy S21 FE. January may not be reached as a result and Samsung will choose a date in February. That is convenient with the Mobile World Congress, the annual telecom fair that takes place in Barcelona.
