Elon Musk is joking about Bitcoin. And gets burned!
Musk made a joke about Bitcoin. That was not really appreciated and he was completely burned down.
Elon Musk is a fervent Twitterer. With his apparently simple Tweets, he can influence a complete price of, for example, Bitcoin or Dogecoin. He is currently a fan of the latter crypto and the price exploded due to his Tweets. And with Bitcoin, the opposite is happening. Many traders do not thank him for that, because they have lost a lot of money in recent weeks. A joke that Musk then makes is not really appreciated.
Musk makes fun of Bitcoin
The price of Bitcoin is currently scrambling up a bit and then down a bit. Musk thought it was a good idea to make a joke on Twitter.
Just kidding, of course, but you shouldn’t always be serious either. So is Musk. But he can exert a lot of influence through his jokes. However, he was not ready yet. He apparently follows Bitcoin fan Jack Dorsey (founder Twitter) and posted a funny comment there as well.
Musk was apparently in a jolly mood. Dorsey wasn’t too fond of this, because he threw out a serious Tweet and then you get that kind of response. Dorsey therefore reacted with surprise and said that he finds the message ‘bizarre’. He continued by saying ‘let’s start a conversation on this event. Then you can share all your curiosity’. Musk has not gone ahead with that and will (of course) not appear at the event.
Influence
A few weeks ago, Musk was able to influence the price with a Tweet. Remarkably, these Tweets have had no impact. The price has not fallen. It seems Musk is losing influence, or the crypto community is used to his jokes by now. Who will say? It is certain that Musk was in a jovial mood. Maybe he had a joint again.
