Elex II – -apkrig

The last game from the legendary studio Piranha Bytes, which has a Gothic and Risen series on its t-shirt, was released more than three years ago. It was a strange mix of sci-fi and fantasy in the RPG Elex, which many adored and others did not understand what others saw in it. But apparently it sold well when we get the sequel.

The publisher of THQ Nordic has just announced the Elex II, so Piranha Bytes may continue their tradition of three parts in a series and enough. But let’s not overtake, we haven’t even gotten the two yet. What can we expect from the sequel? So far, it looks like more of the same.

We return to the planet Magalan, which was once hit by a meteorite full of raw elex, the use of which disrupted society. Elex can power mechanical machines and power weapons, but it also evokes magic and gives power to its consumers. Each of the factions wanted to use him for something else, and in the middle of it all was you, the warrior Jax, who was trying to heal the quarrels and defeat the common enemy.

Elex II builds on the number one a few years later, when Magalan lives in peace, the individual factions are prospering and enjoying life. But since such a bet would probably not be much fun from a gaming point of view, a new threat is approaching, which will again make Jax act. He goes to the individual factions again and tries to persuade them to join forces and fight the common enemy. And to make matters worse, Jax tries to find his lost son Dex.

Again, count on the ubiquitous jetpack and you will be able to wield cold weapons and various futuristic rifles. Actually, it all sounds and looks like a kind of update of the first game, but maybe only the creators keep the biggest surprise for later.

After all, the Elex II hasn’t shown itself in the run yet. Instead of footage from the gameplay, we got a really angry movie filming a pretty big battle, where elements of sci-fi and fantasy just abound. So hopefully we will take part in something similar ourselves.

Elex II is expected to be released later this year on PCs, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
