DynamicSpot gives your Android device an Apple Dynamic Island
The new iPhone 14 models are equipped with the so-called Dynamic Island, or an island as a replacement for the notch. If you are impressed by this, you can now also use it on your Android device.

Apple launched four models in the iPhone 14 series earlier this month. This feature should replace the notch that Apple previously faithfully used in its devices. The Dynamic Island is primarily a software gimmick, since the iPhone 14’s notch consists of two pieces. A punch-hole, Apple apparently did not want that.
Apple has made several additions to the Dynamic Island, so that it can actually add something for users. In this article about the Dynamic Island, we already indicated that it can certainly be a source of inspiration for manufacturers of Android models. Notifications for a call, the music player or paired devices such as in-ear buds all come into their own in a beautiful way.
An Android developer has started working on this idea. This results in the DynamicSpot app. This one gives you the dynamic island of Apple, but on your own Android device. A black rectangular bar is placed around the front camera. You can tap this when a notification arrives, and you can also adjust various settings. It also has the handy addition that you can indicate yourself where you want to see this bar. Handy, if the front camera is on the left side of the screen with your device. Another option in DynamicSpot is that you can determine the size of the bar yourself.
