Download favorite songs and playlists (PC & smartphone)

With Spotify Premium you can also download your favorite songs, albums and playlists and listen to them offline at any time. On the go, this saves your data volume and on the laptop you have no problem with stuttering music even with weak WiFi reception. If you often hear the same songs on Spotify, it makes sense to download the appropriate playlist or album. This saves you data volume and you play it safe in case you get into a dead zone or your network at home fails.

Android & iOS: Music download with the Spotify app

1. Opens the Spotify app on your mobile device.
2. Now navigate to the Playlist or that albumwhich you want to have available offline.
3. Between the button “Shuffle Play” and the individual songs you will find the “Download” option or. “Download songs“.
4. Activates the with this menu item Slider (green)to start the download.
5. Depending on the number of songs and the speed of your network, the download can take some time.

Once the download is complete, instead of “Download” you should see “Downloadgeload ”appear as a menu item. If you want to delete the songs from your memory again, you simply have to tap the slider again and then tap the “Remove” button.

By default, Spotify only downloads songs via WiFi – which is definitely the recommended way to save data volume. But if you only have a mobile network at the moment and still want to download songs, you must first activate the “Download via mobile network” option in the app settings.
