Don’t expect God of War or PSVR2 -apkrig at Sony’s Thursday event

Sony has scheduled another State of Play broadcast this Thursday. The event will start at 11 pm our time and its main star will be the new Deathloop event from the Arkane studio, from which we will see 9 minutes. During the 30-minute presentation, however, there will also be other mostly independent games. The event will be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch.

But Sony itself prefers to point out in advance what fans should not expect from the presentation. Apparently in an effort to avoid disappointment. There will be no talk of God of War and Horizon Forbidden West or the new generation of PlayStation VR. But Sony promises more news for the summer.

Bigger news, supposedly until the next event

And when it comes to that, we can look straight at the latest speculation. The widely speculated acquisition of Bluepoint Games is due to be announced at a summer event, says co-founder of XboxEra.com. We should also see the first video from the sequel God of War. An improved version of GTA V could also be shown here.

Surprisingly, Sony is hosting a smaller State of Play dedicated to Deathloop and indie games (nothing against them) and at the same time attractive news such as studio purchases or PS5 release announcements and Ghost of Tsushima expansion “flushes” with just an article on the PlayStation Blog. To the detriment of the manufacturer, he may not concentrate all such partial announcements in one larger show.
