That Amazon has a problem with fake reviewsis an open secret. For years, the online retailer has been fighting against fake or purchased product reviews – so far with manageable success. Recently, however, Amazon seems to be adopting a tougher pace that does not stop at well-known manufacturers. After Aukey was largely removed from the online shop in May, it has now hit Ravpower.

Amazon bans Ravpower products

Across from The Verge Has Amazon confirms that it has removed Ravpower products from its range. A precise reason was not given, but beforehand a well-known journalist from the Wall Street Journal reported on Twitter about an attempted bribe by Ravpower. A charger purchased from the manufacturer included a $ 35 gift card – only redeemable if you rate the charger on Amazon. However, such an approach violates Amazon’s guidelines for customer ratings.

Chinese retailers in particular have been using this means for years, more or less openly under the eyes of Amazon. Now the company founded by Jeff Bezos appears to be to take active action against it. Ravpower’s products have largely disappeared from Amazon, just like Aukey and Mpow had before.
