Disciples: Liberation – -apkrig
The first part of the Disciples series, subtitled Sacred Lands, was released in 1999 and was a response to Heroes of Might and Magic. It was a great RPG with turn-based duels, which also applied to the sequels Disciples II: Dark Prophecy from 2002 and Disciples III: Renaissance from 2010. Now, after almost 11 years, the series is waking up again and attracts the fourth part of Disciples: Liberation, which lacks numerical distinction.
Disciples: Liberation wants to be an adult and dark strategic RPG in which you create your own faction and fight for the liberation of the land of Nevendaar. You will hire fighters from other factions, whether they are normal people or undead resurrected by a mad queen.
Together you will fight enemies in turn-based battles, store the necessary resources, build your own base and complete one task after another. The creators certainly did not skimp on the story campaign, which will include 270 tasks in the area of three acts, which will take you at least 80 hours to complete. After such a time, you will get to one of the five possible ends of the game thanks to important choices.
It sounds megalomaniac and it’s hard to imagine that each individual task would be unique and worth remembering, but maybe the designers will surprise us even more. The game itself hasn’t really shown itself to us yet, but the fact that it wants to be a dark and adult RPG is confirmed by the first trailer above. It certainly has an atmosphere.
Disciples: Liberation will be released later this year on PCs, PlayStations 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X / S, but if you want to try the game sooner, try your luck with a closed alpha. The game is developed by the Frima studio, which has a couple of platform games, an adaptation of the Carcassonne and Colt Express board games, and a VR title. So let’s hope they know what they’re doing and that Kalypso Media publisher looks after the Disciples brand.
