The first beta of Android 12 reveals some interesting things about the Google Pixel 6 and another mysterious foldable Google phone.

Android 12 Beta includes a lot of interesting code for those interested in Google’s yet to be announced phones. The code found the model numbers of the Pixel phones that are coming. Those model numbers could also be linked to the code names of those phones. Below is the information found in the Android 12 beta.

  • Barbet (Pixel 5a 5G) – G4S1M
  • Oriole (Pixel 6 family) – GR1YH
  • Raven (Pixel 6 family) – GF5KQ
  • Passport (Pixel-foldable) – GPQ72

We see the Pixel 5a and two phones in the Pixel 6 series, the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro that we recently got to admire these beautiful images from. The phones will therefore receive a radical new design and also a chipset made by Google itself. Then there is the code name ‘Passport’ which would refer to the foldable Google phone that we also saw earlier. Whether these foldables will be announced along with the Pixel 5a or the Pixel 6 is not known.

The Pixel 5a will probably be announced in mid-2021 but unfortunately will not be coming to Europe. Google has indicated that it will only release the Pixel 5a in Japan and the United States.

Google has not commented on this information. So it remains a rumor for the time being. Are you looking forward to a foldable Pixel or one of the other Pixel phones? Let us know in the comments below this article.
