Could the Apple Watch Pro be called the Series 8 Pro?
A Pro version of the Apple Watch is finally coming. However, this one might get a different name than we expected all these months. Could the name for this extreme exerciser model be the Apple Watch Series 8 Pro?

The Apple event of 2022: the keynote ‘Far Out’
Normally, a few weeks before the big event, we already know a lot about the products that Apple will announce. That is of course the case with the name of the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro, which we received confirmation today that Apple just keeps adding to these flagships.
Only, there is also a new line of smartwatches from Apple. Of course, the ‘regular’ new model would be named Apple Watch Series 8. But there is also talk of a ‘Pro’ model. Will it be called the Apple Watch Series 8 Pro?
What we already know about the ‘Apple Watch Series 8 Pro’
Although the name is not yet very certain, and we have been using Apple Watch Pro as the ‘working title’ for months, we have already collected a lot of substantive details about this smart watch. We know that Apple is in the process of releasing a Pro model for the extreme athlete. This one gets a more robust titanium design and has a longer battery life.
In addition, this Apple Watch Series 8 Pro can be purchased in a larger 47 mm housing with a 1.99-inch screen. This is considerably larger than the Apple Watch Series 7. The largest variant has a 45 mm housing and a 1.77-inch display. We therefore also wondered whether we should also purchase new tires for this model.
The display is also rumored to use a new flat design, while the Apple Watch Series 7 now has a rounded display. Just like the regular Apple Watch Series 8, we expect better health features to come in this Apple Watch. There has been talk of a body temperature sensor in both models for some time now. We are also interested in the rumors surrounding the satellite function on these smartwatches.
‘X’, ‘Series 8 Pro’ or just ‘Pro’: name remains a secret
It’s not surprising that a week before September 7, the day on which Apple organizes the keynote ‘Far Out’, we are gradually hearing facts, names and specifications. For example, we already saw a package of the iPhone 14 Pro appear on Twitter today. However, it still remains a mystery surrounding the Apple Watch Series 8 Pro (or Series X). There are even wild rumors that Apple will call this robust watch the ‘Watch Max’.
