CoronaCheck app suffers from malfunction: users experience problems

Problems with CoronaCheck app

There are problems with the CoronaCheck app. Precisely now that relaxations have been implemented in the Corona policy. As of today, people can gain access to, for example, the catering industry and occasions, with this app. Messages are pouring in on social media that they are refused at the door, because no QR code can be retrieved.

According to the Ministry of Health and Sports, the malfunction is known. The reason for this would be that many people are now trying to retrieve a QR code in the CoronaCheck app. This causes overload. The same applies to the CoronaCheck website, where no new QR code can now be retrieved. Loading your QR code is also not possible due to the malfunction.

Due to the outage, people cannot enter the various venues that require a QR code. These are, for example, restaurants, cafes and football matches such as the match FC Utrecht against PEC Zwolle.

An alternative could be to print out your QR code via the CoronaCheck website once the malfunction has been resolved.
