Asus has announced a new smartphone; the Asus Zenfone 9. With this device, the manufacturer jumps into a hole that other manufacturers have left empty; namely a compact device with high-end specifications.
Asus Zenfone 9 announced
Asus’ portfolio has been expanded with the new Zenfone 9. The smartphone has been officially announced by the manufacturer. What is immediately noticeable about the smartphone is that it has a compact, relatively small design, while this is not at the expense of the high-end specifications that the Zenfone 9 has to offer. For example, the smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, the latest processor from Qualcomm. There is a choice of 8 or 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage.
Asus supplies the Asus ZenFone 9 with a 5.9-inch AMOLED screen (120Hz) with Full-HD+ resolution. We see a 4300 mAh battery that can be charged with 30W. With such a smaller screen, you naturally save space. The dimensions of the device are 146.5 x 68.1 x 9.1 millimeters. There is a dual camera on the Zenfone 9; a 50MP main camera with PDAF autofocus and Gimbal OIS. There is also a 12 megapixel wide-angle lens; a telephoto lens must be missed.
The new smartphone comes with Android 12, with the Asus ZenUI 9 interface. Asus has not made any statements about the update policy. The smartphone is available in the colors Midnight Black, Moonlight White, Sunset Red and Starry Blue with 8GB/128GB for 799 euros. It is also available with 256GB in black and white for 849 euros. If you choose the 16GB RAM version, you will receive it in black for 899 euros. The Zenfone 9 should be available from mid-August.
