Chrome on iOS gets a brilliant feature

There will be a major update for Google Chrome on iOS. This can prevent others from seeing your private affairs.

Sooner or later it happens that you give your phone to a friend or family member. Maybe to read a funny text, or to view a photo or video. What you don’t want is for this person to snoop around your smartphone without being asked. Not at all in places that you consider private.

We all sometimes leave a tab open in the browser. Especially on the smartphone, because yes who will be there now? It is even more annoying if you have something open that is private. Think of important data, maybe your wedding plans that no one knows about or so on. In that context, Chrome on iOS gets a very nice update.

When you have a tab open in Incognito, it will be blended from now on. The content of the open tab is only visible when a security check has taken place. This can be via Face ID or via Touch ID. This way, the smartphone knows for sure that it is you and no one else.

If you do not need this new Chrome feature on iOS, then just do that. Via the Settings it will be possible to switch the function on and off. The feature is still in beta at this point, but will eventually come to iOS. (via 9to5Google)
