Check out three new videos from Age of Empires IV -apkrig

From the point of view of the Age of Empires series, we have another very interesting year ahead of us. Lovers of historical strategies already saw the expansion of Lords of the West for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition in January. Coincidentally, the expansion of The African Royals for Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition is coming out today. And we will see DLC Dawn of the Dukes with the Czechs for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition.

Praise and criticism

Of course, from a global perspective, regular continuation probably enjoys the most attention. Age of Empires IV will hit the market on October 28, and developers from Relic Entertainment and World’s Edge studios have stepped up their marketing campaigns as expected. In recent days, we have seen three half-minute videos that present various aspects of the upcoming game.

The first video to be released focused on the Hundred Years’ War. His main heroine is John of the Ark, who will lead French troops as in the 15th century. According to the authors, the French are skilful merchants and their knights and spearmen excel in battle.

Another video shows naval battles, which the authors themselves recently admitted were in danger. The developers had the impression that players had not used them much in the past. At the urging of fans, however, this element of the game remained in the new Age of Empires.

Finally, the last clip demonstrates the Abbasids, who can call in camel riders to fight and have very advanced technology. Again, we see only shards, but better than wire in the eye.

The truth is, however, that players have a number of reservations about the videos. Especially with naval battles. Although most people like the clips, there is also a great deal of criticism of the graphics and a comparison with Age of Empires III from 2005, or its remaster, which is not very flattering. In the end, the view of the game will certainly not be the main thing, but the truth is that the visual processing will probably not take the community’s breath away.

The title was announced in 2017 at Gamescom in Cologne and is being developed by the developers of the Company of Heroes. Age of Empires IV will have eight playable civilizations – the Holy Roman Empire, Russia, England, Mongolia, China, France, the Abbasids and the Sultanate of Delhi. But only four of them have their own campaign – the English, Mongols, French and Russians. Of course, each nation will be played differently.

Age of Empires IV will be released on October 28 and will be available in the Game Pass. For months, fans have been calling for the Xbox port, which Microsoft has not yet announced.
