Apple releases new advertisement about AirPods Pro 2

Apple has released a new video to promote the AirPods Pro 2. The advertising mainly focuses on the enormously improved noise reduction of the AirPods Pro 2. This is one of the biggest improvements the new earphones have received compared to the first generation AirPods Pro.

The video shows a woman walking through a busy city while listening to the song Where Is My Mind? by Tkay Maidza. While walking, it switches from transparency mode, which allows you to hear ambient noise, to noise reduction. With noise reduction, annoying ambient sounds are filtered out, so you can listen to music without any problems.

New AirPods Pro have much better noise cancellation

Noise reduction is the main reason to choose the AirPods Pro, because the ‘normal’ AirPods do not have this function. The function ensures that you can enjoy your music undisturbed in a crowded train, a busy city or in the plane. Apple emphasizes this with the new cool advertising video.

According to Apple, noise reduction has become a lot better with the AirPods Pro 2: the earphones can filter out up to twice as much noise compared to the first AirPods Pro. You can therefore still hear voices and background sounds very softly with noise reduction switched on, but it is no longer disturbing. The function is therefore extremely useful if you often want to listen to music outdoors.

In addition, Apple has also updated the transparency mode with the AirPods Pro 2. You can hear the ambient sounds with the transparency mode turned on, but loud disturbing sounds are now automatically muted. This is also known as “Adaptive Transparency”. For example, an airplane flying over will still be muted, even if the transparency mode is on.

AirPods Pro 2 have a new box and new controls

Also new with the AirPods Pro 2: the storage box has been given a speaker. If you now open the case of the earphones, you will hear a short sound. The speaker is especially useful if you can’t find the AirPods while they are still in the box. With the ‘Find my’ function it is now possible to also have the case beep. That makes it a lot easier to find the earphones.

In addition, the AirPods Pro 2 have a new way of controlling. You can now operate the earbuds with touch controls, which allow you to adjust the volume by swiping over the stem. Turning the noise reduction on and off and switching music tracks is still the same as with the first AirPods Pro. To do this, you have to hold the AirPods stem briefly and then release it.
