Check out the new trailer of the animated Sorcerer -apkrig

If you are looking forward to the second series of the game series The Sorcerer, which will be released on Netflix in mid-December, and you do not know how to meet the wait, we remind you of one positive news. In a month, on August 23, you will be able to watch an animated film about the sorcerer Vesemir, whom you may know as Geralt’s mentor. In addition, the film The Sorcerer: The Wolf Dream received the first full-fledged trailer after the show at the last WitcherCon, and it must be admitted that it definitely does not spare the atmosphere. In addition, it will give viewers the opportunity to look at some places from a completely different perspective and understand their meaning at a time when there were more sorcerers and probably even monsters than in the more well-known storyline.

Behind the film is the Korean Studio MIR, which has signed, for example, The Legend of Korra or The Death of Superman. Their style is not in direct line with the Japanese anime, yet it gives Western brands a very special touch, which – logically – may not be to everyone’s taste. In addition, the authors of the series have decided to treat Vesemir as a cheerful kick that does not go far for a joke or a sarcastic remark, but I must say for myself that I do not mind this approach at all. According to showrunner Laureen Hissrich, the mission of the film is to explain that the sorcerers did not die out a long time ago, which is to be addressed to a large extent in the aforementioned feature series.

What doesn’t seem so cheerful anymore is the all-too-convulsive effort to attract those who were satisfied with the first series of the series and offer them basically just more of the same, albeit with an emphasis on a different hero. This is underlined by, for example, the scene in the bathtub, which the showrunner considers a new standard and states in exaggeration that from now on it will be in every series or film. However, we attribute this to the effort to lighten the whole work, especially in comparison with the seriousness of Geralt. Even so, there should be no shortage of dark moments in Wolf’s Dream, and most importantly, there will be a gradual discovery of what Vesemir has lost in his life. The central struggle will then revolve around the forest, which will begin to terrorize the kingdom in which it resides, and this will, of course, require Vesmir’s presence.
