The game fascinated us especially with its processing, ie not explicitly graphics, but the emphasis on realism, which many similar titles lack. Developers from the Dutch Blue Box Game studio, for example, talked about the condition of the protagonist, who begins his painful journey across the upcoming story in the woods, without knowing why he is there. It will be equipped with a pistol, but players have to reckon with the fact that if they want to use it after a longer sprint, they will hardly hit anything due to exhaustion. In a similar vein, they discussed several other features and underlined several times that the game is aimed exclusively at PlayStation 5. It was this fact that caused the “investigation” by the players, who for various reasons the project did not seem and began to argue that it could potentially be a secret project of Hide Kojima and perhaps a straight sequel to Silent Hill, which never took place through PT. Everything went so far that the developers had to issue a statement on the game’s website, in which they denied the connection with the famous designer and no less famous brand, but in recent days things have happened around Abandoned again and the level of suspicion is still rising sharply.

A new wave of passionate debates started on Tuesday’s tweet directly from the developers of the Blue Box Game, which jumped on the wave of speculation to date and very explicitly supported them. „Abandoned = (first letter S, last letter L). The revelation is approaching, “the developers wrote, and you can certainly imagine the crack they caused. Given that the game is constantly being talked about as a potential sequel to Silent Hill, the help may have sounded far too clear, as some of the discussants suggested, but they couldn’t stop the avalanche. Just a few hours later, therefore, the commotion in the internet discussions demanded further response directly from the developers, and it sounded – in line with what had been published before – literally unbelievable. As if someone in the Blue Box Game had no idea what each of the team members was doing. “It simply came to our notice then. We have no relationship with Konami. Silent Hill is owned by Konami. We also have no relationship with Hide Kojima and it was never our intention to lure you the name Silent Hill. We sincerely apologize, “is the whole translation of the message, which follows on from the previous teasing. So one would ask, why did the first tweet happen when it had to be clear to the developers what it would cause in the light of the whole situation? But we do not have the answer to that.

But there is much more than two tweets, you just need to make a small detour and remember what kind of Blue Box Game Studios is actually a company. Already in the first article about the game Abandoned, we explained that it is most likely a completely legitimate company, whose history can be mapped at least until 2015. Dutch developers tried to give birth to the VR game Rewind: Voices of the Past, which is relatively well documented on Steam and also on Kickstarter, where they unsuccessfully raised less than $ 12,000 for her in 2015. It is therefore almost impossible that Hideo Kojima used to have anything to do with them, but we cannot determine with the same certainty whether anything has changed and whether it is really another form of guerrilla marketing, as in the case of fictional fictional studio Moby Dick and fictional designer Joakim Mogren. , which introduced the world to Phantom Pain, Metal Gear Solid V with the same subtitle.

Another reason to think that Abandoned is more than just an interesting independent first person horror game is the upcoming form of revealing the first trailer and details. As the developers themselves pointed out a month ago, everything will take place on June 20 as part of a special application that can be downloaded to the PS5 and watch the trailer rendered directly on the console. The application will then be used to detect all other trailers, including gameplay previews, again in front of the player arising in real time thanks to the console hardware. Sure, it may simply be a new ad format that the Blue Box Game agreed with Sony, but it would be a very unique combination, and I honestly don’t remember a PlayStation offering such a game for another game, not counting unplayable demos from the 1990s. But that’s not all.

The players, partly because they are in the mood to find out more details and connections with Kojima, began to turn literally every stone and noticed something fascinating. The director of the Blue Box Game studio is Hasan Kahraman. To put it aside, they share the same initials as Hideo Kojima, if you have an online translator translate the name Hideo from Japanese to Turkish… Will you get KAHRAMAN ?! Really, you can try it for yourself, the meaning is the same in both languages, ie “hero”, although with Japanese it is more complicated and the word hideo does not always have such a clear translation. The very fact that the name of the chief designer of the last officially communicated attempt to return Silent Hill coincides with the surname of the manager of the Blue Box Game, but does not allow players to sleep and kick deeper and deeper. How about the logo of the many times mentioned studio? Doesn’t it remind you of something? How about the PlayStation Studios logo?

But you may know that we don’t end here either, so let’s go to Hasan Kahraman’s app on the App Store, for example. One of them, which he released on the iOS platform, is called Go Fit XL and at first glance has nothing to do with games, Silent Hill or Hide Kojima. But the description of this application says that it is used for “Personal Training (PT) Programs”! I probably don’t have to remind you of PT, but it’s a question of whether it really means anything, because if so, we would be talking about the most sophisticated marketing I’ve ever experienced or described to anyone. And what would you say to the information that the studio has no video or information on its own YouTube account, only a picture in the header hills. And how do you like the contribution of Hide Kodžima on Instagram, in which he pays tribute to the new album of the group Joy Division, which has forests on the cover as if cut from the first pictures of Abandoned. Or that the central song of this album – Atmosphere – mentions with its lyrics Abandoned (too soon, Set down with due care. Don’t walk away in) silence (Don’t walk away)? But we can also continue with a fresh preview of the director’s version of Death Stranding, which was presented at E3 – Sam Bridges wore a blue uniform and climbed into a paper box (Box) in the game (Game), with the Dutch flag on his hand, corresponding to the location of the authors Abandoned (but also Guerrilla Games studios, which gave Death Stranding the Decima engine).
