Air quality in Buienradar app

The Buienradar app is a popular, comprehensive application for the weather forecast. The app also came back in our extensive research into the best weather app of 2020. Not only for the rain, but also for the UV radiation, the mosquito radar, drizzle, thunder and the BBQ weather. Now the number of layers is expanded with another new feature; the air quality.

You can choose the ‘Air quality’ layer via the layers in the satellite view in the Buienradar app. Here you will find the for the next 72 hours. The quality of the air is indicated by colours. The darker green, the cleaner the air. New in the Buienradar app is that from now on you can set notifications for air quality. Previously it was already possible to set a notification for other circumstances. You will receive a notification if the air quality at the location you have set is poor. However, it seems that the function is not yet clickable, but this will undoubtedly be a bug, which can be fixed with an update.

You can download the update for the Buienradar app from the Google Play Store via the button below.
