Bug in Google Pixel 6 hangs up calls unknowingly
Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro suffer from an annoying bug that prevents calls from coming through and getting rejected. So you don’t see that someone is calling you, but they think they are being pushed away, because the phone hangs up the calls. Several people have reported the issue on Reddit.
Call not missed
That’s already a very annoying problem, but it gets worse: you don’t get to see that there has been a call. No notification appears on the screen that you have been called, let alone by whom. In fact, it’s also not in your phone when you look at the call log, so there’s no way to discover for yourself what your phone has been up to and who tried to call you.
Only if someone indicates that he or she tried to call you and got no response, then you know that your phone also has this problem. After all, even if you accidentally pushed a call away, for example in your sleep, you would always find it with calls.
Google Pixel 6
At first, it was thought it had to do with the device’s do not disturb feature, but for some people that option was turned off when it happened. That’s annoying, which means there’s no workaround to fix this problem as of yet. Google hasn’t responded yet either, so it’s hoped it does soon. Who knows which important phone calls you are missing or have missed.
In any case, Google Pixel has quite a few bugs: something that occurs with all phones, but in this case they are often strange things that are really very disruptive. Think about the problems with vibrating, losing the signal completely and changing ringtones and alarms. Hopefully, Android 13 can make the difference for Google’s device.
