Motorola Moto E7 officially announced

The Motorola Moto E7 is for sale in the Netherlands from the beginning of December and costs only 119.99 euros. This makes it one of the cheapest Android phones that you can buy at the moment. The smartphone is especially notable for the 48 megapixel camera on the back, which also has a night mode. As a result, the Moto E7 takes better photos in the dark. The device also has a 2 megapixel macro camera for photos up close.

In addition, the Motorola Moto E7 has a 6.5-inch screen with an HD resolution of 1600 by 720 pixels. At the top of the display we see a small notch for the 5 megapixel selfie camera and at the bottom there is also a thick border. The fingerprint scanner is on the back and the Moto phone has a button to activate the Google Assistant.

Large battery and simple processor

The Moto E7 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 processor, which is also in Xiaomi’s Redmi 9A. This is the fastest chip, but most apps should run smoothly. Under the hood is also 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage space (via micro-sd) and a 4000 mAh battery.

The battery charges via the USB-C port, but cannot charge quickly. The box of the smartphone contains a 10 Watt adapter, so it takes a while before the phone is full again. The Moto E7 does have a headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0 support and a plastic housing that is water-resistant.

Finally, the Motorola phone runs on Android 10 and not the new Android 11. It is unclear whether the device will be updated later, but this does not seem likely. Moto E smartphones typically only get security updates and no major Android version upgrades. Motorola does opt for an almost bare version of Android.

Motorola Moto E7 price and release

The Motorola Moto E7 is from December 1 for sale in the Netherlands for 119.99 euros. The device appears in two colors: gray (Mineral Gray) and red (Satin Coral). Motorola previously released the Moto E7 Plus, a smartphone with a larger battery and faster processor. This device is also slightly more expensive at 149 euros.
