BioWare is a remastered trilogy of Mass Effect -apkrig

A few hours ago, there was speculation that the BioWare developers were finally planning to introduce the remastered trilogy of the Mass Effect series, and as an insider with the nickname, for example, suggested. Shinobi602, and so it happened even a short time ago. Selected media were invited to a presentation lasting about an hour, during which journalists were able to watch all three improved works and listen to basic information. The most important thing is that Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will arrive on May 14, 2021, but no less interesting is the details about the first part, which is to undergo the greatest modifications.

It should first be announced that the Legendary Edition will feature the first three installments of the Mass Effect series, complete with more than forty DLCs ever released for games. They include not only story extensions or new missions, but also various promo weapons, equipment variants and other similar packages. In terms of general graphics enhancements, all three parts will be available in 4K resolution, offer a redesigned more modern interface, and will be complemented by new effects, shaders, as well as an improved light system. All parts will be able to be launched from a brand new launcher, whether you choose the PC version – available via Steam and Origin – or the version for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Yes, developers aren’t talking about native remaster processing for new consoles yet, but thanks are still true forward compatibility, the enhanced Mass Effect will also run on the PS5 and Xbox Series. The price tag is set at 60 euros due to the amount of content, the price in crowns is then set at 1899 CZK.

Technical improvements at a glance

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition offers 4K resolution, HDR and 60 fps support on Xbox One X, Xbox Series X | S, PS4 Pro and PS5 consoles. On the new consoles, players will be able to use surround sound, they can rely on fast loading along with skipping elevator rides (!), But on the other hand, the Mass Effect remaster will not count on DualSense driver functions or fast Quick Resume switching on the Xbox. As for the PC version, beyond the high resolution and unlocked frame rate, the game will receive support for widescreen monitors (21: 9) and gamepads. Ray tracing is not available in any version of Legendary Edition, but games have real-time reflections. Since the game runs on Unreal Engine 3 (even on a PC), there was basically a double rendering of specific scenes to achieve this effect.

As for the changes in individual parts, Gamespot, for example, deals with them in detail, and as mentioned in the introduction, the developers focused mainly on the first part, which is more than 13 years old. The changes will not only concern the graphics, but also the gameplay itself, which could seem slightly outdated from the point of view of modern players. For example, in duels, it will be possible to use aiming support or locking the selected target, so you will still have it in front of you, even if you take steps with the main character or heroine. There will also be a custom melee button and some weapon restrictions will disappear – in other words, although you will not be able to train with weapons that do not match your chosen specialization, you will still be able to use them.

In terms of control, there should be unification across all three parts, but at the same time it will not deny the characteristic features of the game, such as giving orders to your comrades.

The developers also said that they are working on new inventory, but players should not expect any revolutionary changes at this point. However, Gamespot confirms that changes made to the game’s interface (HUD) make gaming a more comfortable and streamlined experience, especially since it no longer affects the sides of the image. In terms of control, there should be unification across all three parts, but at the same time it will not deny the characteristic features of the game, such as giving orders to your comrades. In the case of the first part, the whole system will be more reminiscent of the operation in Mass Effect 2, but according to the responses of selected journalists so far, this does not seem to be a major problem. Perhaps also because the artificial intelligence of your partners is to be improved, for example in terms of coverage, but we will be able to perform the test when the game arrives in May.

Furthermore, the developers talk about a balanced allocation of experience up to level level at level 60, an improved system for automatic saving, adjustment of cooldown for healing or unification of the canon, which now becomes an extended version of Mass Effect 3. Without wanting to tell you anything, at the end of the trilogy you will not be given a choice and only the ends will apply as they were processed in the Extended Cut version from June 2012. At the same time, multiplayer has been removed from the third part and the Galactic Readiness element affected by the online game is balanced they reached the possible end purely by playing singleplayer.

The character editor is also worth mentioning, which, like the canon or the game controls, is unified in all parts. All options that did not appear at the start of the trilogy will be available in the remaster, which applies especially to new hairstyles or makeup. However, if you do not want to modify anything, you may be pleased that BioWare used the final basic form of the captain’s female form in the first and second episodes, so there should be no unwanted differences here and the whole experience should be all the more compact.
