BioWare has canceled the development of the improved Antem -apkrig

While Europe was going to sleep yesterday, BioWare developers came up with a report that journalist Jason Schreier had pointed out two weeks ago. After evaluating the current state of the so-called Anthem Next – an improved version of the cooperative action from 2019 – all other activities were canceled and work on changing the design and repairs was completed. Regardless of the amount of information that the authorized team within BioWare has published in recent months, any hope that Anthem could get rid of the label of a failed game ends.

Producer Christian Dailey is signed under an unpleasant message that appeared on the BioWare blog that night. He explains that the decision was not easy, but in the interest of other upcoming titles, the studio simply had to make it. “2020 is unmatched by any other, and despite the fact that we are still moving forward with other projects, working from home during the pandemic has affected our productivity and we are not catching up with everything we have planned,” explains Dailey. That’s why the team had to decide to end the development of the improved Anthem and take a significant part of the workload off the developers’ shoulders.

Anthem will remain functional, but in its current form and following previous information without any further content expansion.

“I know it’s going to be hard for Anthe’s fan community, especially as they look forward to the improvements we’ve made. But it’s just as difficult for the team of developers, who did a great job, “says producer Anthem, who has in the meantime moved to Dragon Age in the same role. It is the fourth part of this saga and the continuation of Mass Effect that he mentions as projects that have priority, together with the maintenance of the MMO The Old Republic. As for Anthem, Dailey said the game would remain functional, but in its current form and following previous information without any further content expansion. At the end of his message, Dailey pointed out that game development is a difficult discipline accompanied by similar decisions, so he thanks the fans all the more for their patience, but also for the understanding and support they have shown the developers.

However, not everyone is enthusiastic about the current developments around Anthe and are not very willing to accept that Dragon Age and Mass Effect can be better games. Especially on Twitter, the official post often mentions that people from BioWare have behaved similarly when they left Mass Effect: Andromeda in the interest of Anthe, and of course there is also a wish to return the money. Confidence in BioWare has undoubtedly received another blow and it will be a question of whether it will be restored in the coming months and years. The upcoming remasters of the first three episodes of Mass Effect will be the first to suggest, and then we will watch with excitement the direction of Dragon Age 4. As other discussants point out, it may be time to stop flooding the market with live service games and return to premium story titles. which have always adorned the BioWare portfolio.
