As you may know, Bill Gates is currently in the media to promote his new book titled “How to Avoid Climate Disaster“. The co-founder of Microsoft connects the interventions and the interviews. In an interview on Clubhouse, the popular invitation-only social network at the moment, the billionaire has not escaped the fateful question regarding his preference between Android and iOS.

It must be said that Clubhouse is currently only available on iOS, so the question was legitimate. The former CEO still hasn’t changed creameries and still gives preference to Android. Bill Gates had already shared his love for Android in 2019. “I actually use an Android smartphone. As I want to stay up to date with everything that is going on, I often play with iPhones, but the one I use every day is an Android ”, he specifies.

A question of ease of use

This preference is dictated by the comfort of use that Android offers to the third largest fortune in the world. “Some Android manufacturers pre-install Microsoft software in a way that makes it easier for me. They are more flexible on how the software integrates with the operating system. So that’s the kind of thing I got used to ”, he explains.

Although Bill Gates does not name a brand directly, we suspect that it probably evokes Samsung. As a reminder, Microsoft and Samsung signed a partnership in 2015. This agreement has enabled Microsoft to integrate its software more effectively into Android ecosystems, and more particularly into the devices of the South Korean giant.

The latest benefit to date from this partnership, Samsung is preparing to offer its Quick Share on Windows 10. It is an alternative to AirDrop, which will allow files to be transferred quickly from a Samsung smartphone to a PC running Windows 10. The application should also be available soon on the Microsoft Store.
