Headspace

At school you store new information in your gray brain matter all the time, but that also costs energy. With Headspace you can completely relax after a tiring day. The app is bursting with useful workouts and meditation exercises. Furthermore, Headspace also helps you to fall asleep easily by playing relaxing background music or reading stories yourself. The app also offers advice and support on difficult topics such as pregnancy, cases of cancer in your family or friends and dealing with fears. Some of the app’s features are even specifically aimed at students. In short, it is an all-in-one wellness app.

forest

As communication scientist Mariek Vanden Abeele made clear in an interview with Androidworld, smartphones and social media are not an addiction per se, but they do pose a challenge. Students, in particular, often have trouble focusing their attention on their lessons instead of their phone while studying.

Anyone who recognizes themselves in this, better take action and an app such as Forest is very suitable for this. The app helps you stay focused and does so through rewards. Once you start studying, turn on Forest and then plant a seed. As the app remains active and you continue working, the seed grows into a tree. If you can’t resist opening Instagram over and over, your tree will wither.

Forest users who have paid for the app can even collect coins by using the app, which will allow them to actually plant trees. Forest is also very reasonable, as the app lets you whitelist certain apps you need while blocking, so they won’t wither your beautiful tree when you use them.
