Battlefield 6 is set to return to the present day and accommodate 128 Vortex players

There is little official information about Battlefield 6, and there has been more speculation in recent months. The insider and leaker Tom Henderson, who is one of the trustworthy ones, came with a fresh batch. He refers to sources that should be familiar with the plans of the DICE study. Battlefield 6 is primarily to return from history to the present. Some maps are supposed to be designed for up to 128 players, and although EA said it would be a real next-gen, the game should also be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In this case, however, it will probably not offer multiplayer for 128 players, but a maximum of 64. Unlike the new consoles and PCs, the notorious destruction within the Frostbite engine may also be limited. According to Henderson, however, the old consoles should not limit the next-gen version. The reason is allegedly the fact that a completely different team is focusing on obsolete systems. Last-gene support would also make sense, thanks to the fact that new consoles are getting slower among players so far than the fans themselves would like.

Battlefield 6 was to be inspired and influenced mainly by the popular troika.

Tom Henderson said that the battle royale mode for Battlefield 6 has also been worked on for at least some time, but at this point he is not sure if he is still counting on it. Given the size of the maps and the large number of players, this might make sense, but it’s also worth remembering how Firestorm turned out for Battlefield V in competition with other brands, including Call of Duty. Unlike Blackout, Warzone didn’t make a big hole in the world.

It is speculated that Battlefield 6 should be inspired and influenced mainly by the popular troika. The game could also be called simply Battlefield, without a number, says Henderson. It is said to be a so-called soft reboot series.

In addition to the new part, is a remaster of a threesome planned?

Battlefield 6 should be released before Christmas this year and should have an unprecedented range, which, according to EA, is due to the new consoles. Already last fall, EA boss Andrew Wilson said the first tests were underway and the developers reportedly had good feedback.

It has been speculated before that, in addition to Battlefield 6, a remaster of the troika is allegedly planned, which would make sense if the games were to be connected by a story. Another credible leaker came up with the information, according to which both games will be sold together. Youtuber Daqarie, who brought information about Battlefield 1 and V before the official announcement, promised that it would be an accompanying title that EA would add to a completely new game. This would repeat the scenario that fans of the competing Call of Duty from Activision, for example, know. Even according to this source, the full-fledged continuation was to be set back in the modern period.
