The release of Battlefield 2042 has been postponed by five weeks and thus slips behind the planned release date of competitor Call of Duty. EA plans to provide information about an open beta this month, but there are already rumors about a specific period.

Battlefield 2042 will be postponed to November

EA announced in a press release that the planned release of Battlefield 2042 on the November 19, 2021 is moved (source: Electronic Arts). DICE studio boss Oskar Gabrielson explained that his team is still working from home. Under these circumstances, they felt compelled to postpone the release date. The developers want to use the five additional weeks to be able to deliver a satisfactory result.
