Asymmetric multiplayer horror Monster 2 is behind the door -apkrig
The developers from the Team Junkfish studio will release an early access version of the survival horror film Monster 2 for two to five players on January 28, which will throw them into a procedurally generated labyrinth. A group of prisoners try to escape, while one of the title monsters is after them. It is an asymmetric multiplayer in which up to 4 people trapped in a naval base stand against a monster controlled by another player. Thanks to the procedural generation, the floor plan of the maze, puzzles, objects and obstacles change with each match, thanks to which, according to the study, the game should still be dynamic for both sides.
The player who takes on the monsters can choose from various monsters that arose from unsuccessful experiments and genetic modifications of the former research station.
Prisoners must cooperate and look for useful items. You have to hide from the enemy, sneak in the shadows and look for various shelters. At the same time, however, it is necessary to avoid traps that will reveal your location. And if the enemy sees you, you should put your feet on your shoulders. The player who, on the other hand, takes on the monsters can choose from a variety of monsters that arose from unsuccessful experiments and genetic modifications of the former research station. Each has its own specific advantages. In this case, of course, it will be you who takes the initiative and hunts the others.
As the name of the game suggests, Monster 2 follows the first part, which, however, was a single player game. It was a more traditional survival horror, but procedurally generated levels already appeared here. According to the authors, the sequel is supposed to retain many aspects of the original, including tension and a first person perspective, but this team decided to refresh this formula with modern and popular online elements. Perhaps they will be happier in the field of asymmetric multiplayer horror movies than some previous Dead by Daylight challengers, who have already broke their teeth on apparent “hits”.
The game is to spend 8 to 12 months in the preliminary access program. The full version will then offer more monsters, more items, more escape routes and more variability in procedural generation. However, according to the authors, the game is already in beta and contains all the key elements that have been heard here. As a prisoner, you can, for example, customize your character, and the monster player has a choice of three monsters, and their customization is also present.
Monster 2 is currently on pre-sale for $ 13 and according to the developers, it should not increase in price even after the release of the full version. The game can already be pre-ordered, for example, on the official website. In addition, you can look forward to a few bonuses, which refer, among other things, to the first part. If you are interested in the title and do not want to wait until January 28 for early access, you can try the open beta. It will be available this weekend, January 23 and 24. Monster 2 is currently only targeting Windows.
