Apple’s online store has a new look
The tech company Apple has given its online shop a facelift. The store is now easier to find and better structured for customers.
Until now, anyone who wanted to buy products directly online from Apple usually had to take the cumbersome detour via the information pages for the individual products to get to the store. How do you get a good overview of all products? Almost impossible. This unnecessarily complicated type of shopping experience has now prompted Apple to give the store more presence on the homepage and to give it a redesign.
After the store was temporarily down on August 3, 2021, a separate store tab appeared in the navigation bar on the home page on Apple’s website. With a click on this tab, customers can now go directly to the newly built one Store.
A product carousel is displayed to customers in the new online shop. This gives users a direct overview of all Apple products, regardless of whether they are looking for a Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Airpods or other accessories. With a click in one of the product categories, the interested buyer is also shown potentially suitable accessories. When it comes to design, Apple has based itself on its own App Store app, which most Apple users will be familiar with from their mobile devices.
In addition to the standard products, current promotions and offers are displayed on the main page of the store. In addition, Apple presents the latest products in more detail. In addition to individual products, Apple also offers virtual sessions on the store’s home page and gives users the opportunity to go shopping with an Apple expert. At this point, appointments can also be made in an Apple store on site.
