Apple Vision Pro coming to Europe very late (here’s why)
The Apple Vision Pro will be released in the United States in early 2024, but in Europe we have to wait much longer. But why exactly?

Vision Pro to Europe much later
Apple presented the long-awaited Vision Pro in June. The company’s first headset is extremely advanced with two 4K micro-LED screens, an M2 and R1 chip and twelve cameras. It is precisely this complicated technology that previously caused Apple to more than halve the production of the glasses. Now it appears that we have to wait even longer for the Vision Pro in Europe.

Apple’s first headset will appear in the United States in early 2024. The glasses will then be available in both physical and online stores. According to the usually reliable Apple analyst Mark Gurman, Apple plans to release the device in Canada and the United Kingdom by the end of 2024. Only then will the Vision Pro come to Europe, at the earliest in early 2025.
Delayed production at Apple
The fact that the Vision Pro is released so late in Europe has to do with several factors. The technical parts of the glasses are difficult to manufacture and cause a considerable delay in the production of the Vision Pro. The delayed production process has again ensured that the headset will be launched worldwide later.
In addition, visionOS must be available in many more languages in Europe than in England, for example. The translation takes time and visionOS cannot be used in Dutch at the moment. It is therefore expected that the Vision Pro will first be available in English-speaking countries such as Australia. According to Gurman, the glasses will then come to major European countries, starting with France and Germany.
Make an appointment for Vision Pro
Due to the limited availability of the Vision Pro, Apple Stores in Europe will probably only receive one or two test models. According to Gurman, buying the headset is not easy, because you have to make an appointment to have the Vision Pro adjusted to you. That is also the time to pass on the strength of the lenses of the glasses in the event of an optical defect.

These lenses are not included in the purchase price of the headset. They reportedly cost between $300 and $600 per pair, which is on top of the $3,499 purchase price. The lenses are manufactured after measuring, so you also have to wait a while after ordering.
More about Apple’s first headset
The Apple Vision Pro is not yet available in Europe for the time being. It is not yet known what price the headset will get here, in the United States the starting price is at least $ 3499. In Europe, this price is most likely higher, the glasses will then cost about 3999 euros. Apple is already working on a cheaper Vision Pro One, which will have fewer functions.
