Apple has sent a survey to a group of users of the canceled 2015 12-inch MacBook. It is a questionnaire about the user experience of the device. Is there a new model in the pipeline?

Apple wants to know what users think of the 12-inch MacBook
Apple has sent a survey of questions about the 12-inch MacBook to a number of users. The survey consists of simple questions about certain aspects of the device. The size and functions of the laptop are discussed, among other things. Apple also asks what could be done differently.
Apple announced the 12-inch MacBook in 2015. The device was intended for customers who needed an ultra-portable notebook. The 12-inch MacBook had no fan and a somewhat slow Intel processor, so the device could handle few heavy tasks. It was also the first Mac to feature the infamous butterfly keyboard.
A 2020 rumor suggested that an updated 12-inch MacBook would be one of the first Mac laptops with Apple Silicon. That turned out to be incorrect. Instead, Apple announced a 13-inch MacBook Air and a MacBook Pro with an M1 chip in late 2020.
Apple likes a survey here and there
However, the absence of a new M1 MacBook does not mean that a rebirth of the 12-inch laptop is completely off the table. The recently released survey proves that Apple hasn’t forgotten about the thin, portable laptop.
Apple often sends surveys to customers. Recently, the iPhone maker sent out surveys to current users of the iPad mini. This falls in line with the rumor mill surrounding a new iPad mini, which is currently running faster than ever before.
