It’s in pitchers and pitchers. Apple has officially registered the iPhone 13 in a database no less than 7 times. But why? That’s how it is.

Read on after the ad.

Apple registers iPhone 13 in database

That website discovered Nashville Chatter Class. Apple has registered a total of seven model numbers with the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Companies must register their new products with this organization in order to place them in the stores of Eurasian countries. Such databases therefore regularly reveal what new stuff is coming.

Apple registers a total of seven model numbers with the EEC. Does this mean seven iPhone 13s are also coming? No, most likely not. One product can carry multiple model numbers.

For example, the American iPhone 12 has a different code than the version that is available here in the shops. This is most likely also the case with the iPhone 13.

What is striking is that the iPhones from the database run on iOS 14. This iPhone software update was released in 2020 and its successor, iOS 15, was unveiled last week. Usually new iPhones also run on the latest software version, in this case iOS 15.

It is a guess as to why that is not the case this time. Apple may have run the iPhone 13 on a modified version of iOS 14, so as not to give away details about the iOS 15 update beforehand.

4 iPhones in 2021

With only a few months left until the official unveiling, the net surrounding the new iPhone is beginning to close. Apple is rumored to be releasing direct successors for all iPhone 12 phones. This means that four phones will be announced by the end of this year.

The two entry-level models would be the same size as the current iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini: 6.1 and 5.4 inches. The successors of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max also do not seem to change in size.

What is rumored to be changing is the screens. All iPhone 13 phones would switch to a ProMotion display. Such a screen refreshes pixels 120 times per second, instead of the current 60 times. ProMotion screens therefore excel in showing animations and eyes very fluently.
