Apple may already announce MacBook Air 2022 during WWDC
The release of the new MacBook Air 2022 may be closer than we thought. According to renowned Apple insider Mark Gurman, Apple wants to “launch some new Macs” during WWDC. One of these may be the new MacBook Air.

MacBook Air 2022: Released at WWDC?
WWDC is Apple’s annual developer conference. The company then presents its new operating systems, including iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, and more. Sometimes Apple also uses the event to put new hardware in the spotlight – probably this year too.
“Apple is gearing up to launch a number of new Macs in the coming months. Where better to do that than at WWDC?” Gurman wrote in his weekly Power On newsletter. “I’m told there will be two new Macs around the middle of the year or early in the second half of the year,” he continues. “One of those is probably the new MacBook Air.”
This year’s WWDC will take place on June 6, Apple announced last week. On this day we may hear more about the new MacBook Air, which is rumored to be changing a lot. It would be the first Mac with an M2 chip. In addition, there will be a redesign that resembles the current MacBook Pro 2021. Furthermore, the MacBook Air would have white bezels around the screen and colorful color options, similar to the 24-inch iMac 2021.
More New Macs
The MacBook Air isn’t the only new Mac in development. Other Macs that Gurman says will be getting an update in the near future include an updated Mac mini, 24-inch iMac and a low-end 13-inch MacBook Pro. Apple is also working on two new high-end Macs, because a new Mac Pro and iMac Pro are on the way.
