Apple can be stubborn sometimes. Every now and then, the US group refuses to respond to the wishes of its users for years. With iOS 16, however, Apple is leaping over its own shadow and giving iPhone owners a function that has been on their wish list for a long time. But some fine-tuning is still needed.

iOS 16: Apple brings back the battery percentage indicator in the iPhone status bar

Apple removed them when they released the iPhone X. Not enough space on the screen, so Apple justified the deletion with reference to the notch. The fact that Apple is bringing back the battery percentage display in the status bar is a welcome step. At the However, the cult group still has to work on implementation. Biggest flaw: the battery icon. Regardless of the battery level, this is now always filled in to make the percentage display visible. In everyday life, this could lead to confusion. So Apple still has to do some fine-tuning here and fine-tune the new (old) feature.
