Will Apple release a Magic Keyboard with Mac built-in in the future? The company has filed a patent for such a device. The design resembles a modern version of the famous Apple II computer.

Magic Keyboard with built-in Mac on the way?
A MacBook Air is of course very useful if you are on the road a lot. But what if you just need a computer that you can use both at home and at work with a large screen?
Patently Apple writes that Apple is working on a new kind of computer. It is a Magic Keyboard with built-in Mac. The keyboard would be slightly thicker than the current version to make room for components such as the processor and SSD drive. You connect the device with one cable to an external monitor, which also provides the power supply.
In the late 1970s, Apple already released the Apple II, a legendary computer with an integrated keyboard. However, that was a huge device, while the new version would almost fit in your pocket. Such a Mac will of course compete with the Mac mini, but has the advantage that you do not have to buy a separate keyboard. Just a mouse or trackpad is enough.
Apple files many patents every year. Not all of those plans are actually implemented. Whether we can ever really buy this computer is therefore uncertain.
New Macs on the way
If Apple ever releases a Magic Keyboard with a built-in Mac, we’ll have to wait a while for that. The company is likely to launch a number of other new Macs very soon.
Apple is likely to host an event on March 8 to showcase the new iPhone SE 2022 and iPad Air 2022. We may also get to see a new MacBook Pro and Mac mini. Later this year, we expect an even bigger iMac Pro and a faster MacBook Air.
