Every year, the App Store editors publish a list of the best apps of the year. They mainly focus on design, user experience and technical innovation. We’ve put together a list of all the big winners for you!

1. App of the Year 2022: BeReal

With this app you only get two minutes to take a photo at any time of the day. This gives you a real look into the lives of your friends and family.

2. iPhone Game of the Year 2022: Apex Legends Mobile

A ‘Battle Royale’ game on your iPhone where you compete against each other in teams. Choose a character, match your weapon upgrades and claim victory!

5. Mac App of the Year 2022: MacFamilyTree

Do you have a big family? Then this is the app for you. Record your family history with this comprehensive genealogy app.

6. Mac Game of the Year 2022: Inscryption

An interesting card game (and much more) where you create your own playing deck and try to solve puzzles. But beware: don’t be scared!

7. Apple Watch App of the Year 2022: Gentler Streak

A fitness tracker that puts your own well-being first. With support for 104 activities, fun Apple Watch compilations and tracking your heart rate zones, fitness is fun again (but take your rest in time).

8. Apple TV Game of the Year 2022: El Hijo

A fun stealth game set in the Wild West in which you help a 6-year-old boy find his mother. Fun puzzles with beautiful environments.

9. Apple Arcade Game of the Year 2022: Wylde Flowers

In this farm simulation (with witches) you have to do your best to unravel a mystery. Go fishing, dive into the mines, work on the farm and do magic: there is so much to do!
