Antique launches super fast 10 Gbps internet. The price and availability will surprise you

Antik, in cooperation with Huawei, launches 10 Gbps internet in June. This year, they plan to cover up to tens of thousands of households.

10 Gbps internet from the Antik company will also reach smaller municipalities

The service will be launched gradually and will be available in some parts of Bratislava and Košice, but also in smaller cities such as Bardejov, Čierna nad Tisou and Stropkov. In the third quarter, 10 Gbps internet will also reach some smaller municipalities.

In connection tests, the company was able to measure values ​​of up to 9.2 Gbps for a fixed connection and 1.6 Gbps for a wireless connection. The price remains the same as in the case of a 1 Gbps connection – 17.92 euros per month.

If you are interested in super fast internet, you can request it on the official website of Antik. To do this, you will need a 10 Gbps switch or a 10 Gbps Wi-Fi router with Wi-Fi 6 support, which you can purchase yourself or provided by Antik for a set-up fee of 249 euros.

Is 10 Gbps internet needed at all?

It is true that most regular users do not currently use this connection speed. However, the ancient is preparing for a future that will require such speeds. Streaming Full HD videos will soon become obsolete and 4K and later 8K will become the norm. The development of virtual reality is also expected, which in the case of a cloud solution will require the rapid transfer of a huge amount of data. This technology will also be used in the professional spheres of the future, such as telemedicine or teleworking.
