Android Auto get new features, here’s them all

Google has announced a number of new options for various Google services and Android Auto is one of them. This in-car system will have a number of options to personalize the interface.

Personalize Android Auto

You can already customize Android Auto with some nice wallpapers, but Google is now expanding the customization options. This allows you to customize the Android Auto home screen on your infotainment system directly from your phone. In addition, there is now also a dark mode for Android Auto. This is especially useful if you are driving in the dark and do not want to be too distracted.

Improved interface for Android Auto

Have you installed multiple media apps for Android Auto? That has made it easier for you to browse through that. The interface gets new tabs with a ‘back to top’ option and an A to Z button in the scroll bar.

Google has also improved the interface for the chat apps so that you can access your favorite messaging apps from the splash screen. With Android Auto you can easily read and send new messages directly from apps such as WhatsApp or Messages. Google is now making this capability available worldwide.

More apps for Android Auto

Google has also allowed more apps into the car operating system, such as various EV, charging, parking and navigation apps. All of these Android Auto features come to phones running Android 6.0 or later and are usable when connected to a compatible car.
