Android 14 puts an end to annoying full-screen notifications
Android 14 makes it possible to notify you when apps can show your notifications in full screen. That’s how it works.
Day full-screen notifications
Android expert Mishaal Rahman has discovered a setting in the new Android version that lets you indicate whether apps can send you full-screen notifications. He explains the new option in Android 14 on Twitter out, but first a short explanation of full-screen notifications.
Notifications that appear in full screen include alarms, calls, and WhatsApp video calls. You give permission for these types of notifications when you install the app. After that you can no longer withdraw the permission. Android 14 is about to change that, allowing you to revoke permission for full screen notifications anytime after installing the app.

To withdraw this permission, follow the steps below:
- Go to the settings on your phone
- Tap on Applications
- Tap on Special app access
- Tap on Manage full screen intents
- Disable permission per app
