Android 12 gives users better insight into battery consumption

We find the endurance of smartphones an important feature in reviews. Google also seems to provide more insight into the endurance with Android 12 Beta 2. These statistics are in fact more detailed in the new Android version.

Android 12 with detailed battery stats

We can expect a lot of beautiful things from the new Android version. Last week Android 12 Beta 2 appeared, where we listed all the new functions. Remember the new interface with themes that adapt to the wallpaper. Now it becomes clear that more news is on the way.

Google gives users more detailed insight into the battery consumption in Android 12. It is about the battery stats in the system settings. You no longer see in the graph how long your battery will last, but you get a bar graph. Tapping on a bar in the diagram reveals more detail in the stamina. Each bar stands for two hours and below it you can see which processes and apps have demanded the most from your battery in those two hours. It is striking that Google also seems to have chosen to hide the screen-on-time in Beta 2. It is one of the important indicators for us in reviews.

Good to know is that Beta 2 only seems to bring the extended battery statistics to the Pixel devices. It is not known whether Google will make the feature widely available in the final version of Android 12 or keep it only for Pixels.
