Android 11 with One UI 3 is now being rolled out in the Netherlands

Good news for the owners of the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 + and S20 Ultra. The three smartphones will now be updated with Android 11 and the One UI 3.0 skin. You should know this about it.

Galaxy S20 gets Android 11

Samsung has released the official message that it has begun to distribute Android 11 for the Galaxy S20 series. The three models from this series can expect the update from now on. DroidApp reader Fijke says it has not yet been offered on his S20, but with a friend of his. The Vodafone branded version will get the update first, it becomes clear. Security update December 2020 is also included with the update.

The Android 11 update brings a lot of new features. Notifications have been improved, as have media controls and privacy options. Furthermore, Samsung One UI 3.0 included, so you will encounter even more improvements. The camera app has been further improved, Samsung has worked on a better volume control, you can tap the screen twice to lock the device and it has many other improvements.

Thanks to One UI 3.0, you’ll enjoy smoother motion effects and animations, it all feels more realistic, and switching between other Galaxy devices is even smoother. Functions that you use the most are better highlighted, according to Samsung. In addition, you will see better widgets on the newly designed lock screen with, for example, direct insight into appointments. Samsung’s keyboard app has been improved with emoji suggestions and it has become easier to paste copied images and verification codes.

As mentioned, the update will now be rolled out to users, with the Vodafone version of the S20 series being the first to be used. Not much later the other models will follow. The upgrade to One UI 3 will be available with Android 11 OS. The rollout will begin on the Galaxy S20, S20 + and S20 Ultra and the upgrade will then also be available on the Galaxy Note20, Z Fold2, Z Flip, Note10, Fold and S10 series. The Galaxy A series will also follow in the first half of 2021.
