Android 11 is finally coming to the OnePlus 6 / 6T … in beta
While Android 12 is about to be available in final version in a few weeks, OnePlus announces the availability of Android 11 for its OnePlus 6 and 6T. And again, it’s a beta for now.
Unsurprisingly, the builder Explain offer an Android 11 beta for its OnePlus 6 and 6T in order to collect as many opinions as possible. This will allow him to fix bugs and make possible changes between now and the final version if the testers are not satisfied.
The switch to Android 11 is also an opportunity for OnePlus to make improvements and bring some new features. This concerns Game Space with new tools, a new interface at the Camera app level, small additions for the Ambiant Display system, a shortcut to quickly activate dark mode and a new interface for the app drawer.
If you have a OnePlus 6 or 6T and are already on the beta channel, then you can go to the settings to download the beta of Android 11. If you are on the stable releases channel, you must manually download the beta (in click here for the OnePlus 6 and in click here for the OnePlus 6T). Then go to the phone settings and then to the updates section. Tap the icon at the top right and select the previously downloaded file. Then let the process take place.
OnePlus is yet to say when the final version of Android 11 will be available for both smartphones.
