Android 10 still the most popular
A few years ago, Google brought out an overview every month with the share of different Android versions. However, it remained silent for a long time, but now Google is again sharing new distribution figures for the various Android versions.
Android distribution figures – November 2021
Some time ago, Google dutifully shared new distribution figures. Numbers, with which you can immediately see which Android version is represented for what percentage in the list of active Android devices. Up to and including 2018, a monthly update was published. Only one appeared in May 2019, and then it was quiet for another year. We saw the last update we received from Google about this in April 2020. Now Google has news for us again with a new overview of Android distribution figures.
Android 12 was officially released earlier this month, but we do not see it in Google’s overview yet. There is probably some time between this recording and its publication. The figures from November 2021 show that Android 10 still dominates the most, with a share of 26.5 percent. The percentage of Android 11 comes out at 24.3 percent, making this Android version in the neck of the previous Android version. Android 9 Pie has a share of 18.2 percent and is therefore also quite well represented. Android 8.0 and 8.1 Oreo together score a share of 13.7 percent. The other Android versions can be found in the photo below.
