If the electricity in Germany fails due to a blackout or a storm, the stove in many households will also stop working. In that case you are in a fix if you want to prepare food. A mobile gas cooker has so far been used more to prepare a warm meal when camping or tenting. In the energy crisis, a gas cooker as a backup could also be very practical. If you want it even more mobile, then I can recommend you an even smaller gas cooker, which is even a bit cheaper, but not quite as stable (view at Amazon). A friend of mine took it with him on my motorcycle tour through Europe so that I could prepare something warm to drink on the way. For cooking pasta, rice or potatoes in a pot, for example, I would prefer the above solution.
