Amazfit GT4 and GTS 4 official: smartwatches with advanced GPS
Amazfit has announced a new series of smartwatches. The Amazfit GTR 4, GTS 4 and GTS 4 Mini get improved sports and health functions and a more accurate GPS.

Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4
The ‘R’ and ‘S’ in their names stands for ‘Round’ and ‘Square’. The Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 are two smartwatches that contain 150 sports modes, Amazfit announced in a press release. What’s new is that they now automatically recognize eight of these sports activities without you having to manually start tracking from your wrist. And for golfers, there’s the Track Run mode and Gold Swing mode.
A much-requested feature that was previously missing was integration with popular fitness apps. The watches now work with Strava and soon also with Adidas Running. There are also 15 exercises for strength training and these will be expanded to 25 with an upcoming update.

Improved GPS and health features
Amazfit has also improved the GPS technology in the GRT 4 and GTS 4, so that they now work with five satellite systems. You can follow your routes in real-time in the app and on your watch. That’s a feature that the brand previously proposed with its T-Rex 2 smartwatch, which we were already able to test in the editorial.
The Chinese brand also states that the smartwatch’s BioTrackers sensor is now collecting more data. Amazfit’s smartwatches can measure heart rate, blood saturation and stress levels and users can test these values (plus respiratory rate) in 45 seconds with one touch.
The Amazfit GTS 4
The GTR 4 has a battery life of 14 days, while the GTS 4 can run for more than a week. Both watches have a metal casing and numerous dials, some of which are animated. They also support an always-on display.
Amazfit GTS 4 Mini
In addition to the regular GTS 4, Amazfit is introducing a small variant in the Benelux: the GTS 4 Mini. This watch is lighter and more compact. It works with over 120 sports modes and has a 1.65-inch HD color display with a resolution of 336 x 384 pixels. The Mini can function for 15 days on a single charge. If the battery saver mode is enabled, this amount can go up to 45 days, according to Amazfit.

Prices and availability
The Amazfit GTR 4 has a suggested retail price of 229 euros and is available in the colours: Superspeed Black and Vintage Brown Leather. It will be on sale from mid-September.
The price of the Amazfit GTS 4 costs 199 euros and you can find it in the colors: Infinite Black, Misty White and Rosebud Pink. It will be in stores in mid-September.
Finally, you pay 99 euros for the GTS 4 Miniwhich will be available from mid-September in the colours: Midnight Black, Flamingo Pink, Moonlight White and Mint Blue.
