all specs leaked, 5 years of updates

Google will again this year with two flagships from the Pixel 6 series. Many specifications of the devices have already been leaked, and we also learn that the phones will receive software updates for the first time for five years.

Google Pixel 6 (Pro) Specifications

The Google Pixel 6 has already been extensively leaked when it comes to renders of the two flagships. A little later, it was announced that Google wants to use a periscope camera in the Pro version of the phone, and the smartphone uses an unbranded, powerful chipset.

Jon Prosser, or Front Page Tech as it is called on YouTube, now comes with more specifications of the two smartphones. The Pro version of the range will be very different from the regular Pixel 6 this time around, not only because of the differences in screen size but also because of the different camera setup.

The Pixel 6 will be more similar to the previous Pixel models, as it only appears with a main camera and wide-angle sensor, while the Pixel 6 Pro gets three sensors on the back for the first time. We now know that he will get a 48 MP periscope camera, but the optical zoom range is not yet known.

Five years of updates

Another important fact that Prosser could already leak is that Google is coming with longer update support. Google, like Apple, opts for five years of software updates. Unfortunately, the rumor propagator doesn’t make it entirely clear whether it involves both version and security updates. Hopefully there will be more clarity on that later.

An exact launch date for the phones has not yet been announced, but the devices are expected to be presented in October. Are you looking forward to the Google Pixel 6 and the Pro version? Let us know in the comments at the bottom of this article.
