All participants will have to be vaccinated at CES 2022
The annual Consumer Electronics Show, or CES for short, takes place during a part of the year that is enjoyed by several technology enthusiasts. As everything takes place on site with a large number of people, it is certain that the organizers will require a confirmation of vaccination against COVID-19 from the participants. The AndroidCentral web portal informed about it.
Access to CES 2022 is likely to be restricted to vaccinees only
Only vaccinated people will reportedly be able to come and see CES 2022. The US giants Google and Facebook have recently come up with a similar solution, requiring all their employees to be vaccinated against coronavirus if they plan to move from home office back to work physically.
Several American companies are also inspired, practically forcing their employees to be vaccinated. Gary Shapiro, president of the CTA (Consumer Technology Association), believes this is the right decision for the safety of CES 2022 participants. Gary Shapiro added:
“Based on today’s science, we understand that vaccines offer us the best hope of stopping the spread of COVID-19. We take responsibility by requiring proof of vaccination at CES 2022 in Las Vegas. ”
On the other hand, there is also talk about whether it would not be enough to have a current negative antigen test. This option is currently still being considered and the organizers will later reveal how they decide in this case.
CES is one of the most important technological events of the year. Every year, thanks to it, we get acquainted with new technical toys, smartphones, televisions and other modern devices that will delight many fans of technology.
