For those who are not fast enough with the Galaxy A52, Samsung will launch a new and faster A52, the Samsung Galaxy A52s, later this month. Under the skin, Samsung upgrades the chipset to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G, while other specifications remain the same. The company is rumored to charge only 20 euros for the upgrade.
Samsung Galaxy A52s
At the end of this month, Samsung customers will be faced with a difficult choice. After all, do they opt for the cheaper Galaxy A52 5G or pay the higher price tag of the Galaxy A52s to enjoy improved performance. Sebastien already wrote about the first rumors about the Galaxy A52s in July; all details leaked at the time are confirmed by WinFuture this time.
It is confirmed that the only upgrade of the Galaxy A52s will take place under the hood. Instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset – which we know from the Mi 10T Lite and therefore the Galaxy A52 5G – a Snapdragon 778G chipset now provides the necessary computing power. Samsung links the chipset to 6 GB working and 128 GB storage memory. In Europe, a variant with 8 GB working and 256 GB storage memory may also be available. Whether it will be released in the Netherlands is unknown.
Same (internal) specifications
Samsung seems to have only focused on the new chipset on the A52s. After all, other (internal) hardware remains unchanged. For example, the Galaxy A52s gets the same 6.5-inch screen from the Galaxy A52, the battery gets the same 4,500 mAh capacity with 25 watts wired fast charging and the device, like the A52 5G, has an IP67 rating, making it water-resistant. and is dust resistant.
The camera equipment also remains the same, with the same 64 MP main camera (f/1.8), a 12 MP wide-angle camera (f/2.2) and two 5 MP macro and portrait cameras (f/2.4). There is a 32 MP sensor for the selfie camera.
Launch Samsung Galaxy A52s
A launch date is not mentioned by the rumor makers, other than that the phone will hit the market in August. However, a price of 449 euros is mentioned. The device is therefore, if this reflects the price in the Netherlands, 20 euros more expensive than its predecessor. Samsung also seems to no longer sell the Galaxy A52 5G, which may indicate that the A52s 5G will replace the existing A52 5G in the Netherlands.
The plastic housing of the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is expected to be available in four colors: black, green, blue and purple.
