Adobe Photoshop is going to be free! – Devices
Adobe is currently testing a completely free version of the graphical editor Photoshop that can be used via a browser. Beautiful!
Adobe is taking the next step with its revolutionary Photoshop editing program. The software will get a freemium web version that is being tested in Canada at the time of writing. Photoshop will soon be available to everyone for free; only more advanced features are reserved for the paid version.

Adobe’s goal is to “make Photoshop accessible to everyone,” reports The Verge. It is a more extensive version of the web version of Photoshop that has been around since last year. That version supported many basic functions but was mainly intended for collaboration. Users could only work with a shared file and had very few options.
Recent updates, on the other hand, turn that variant of Photoshop into a full-fledged editing program. Anyone with an Adobe account will soon be able to create a project and will receive roughly all essential functions.
The trial version of Photoshop is currently only available in Canada and no international release date has yet been announced. We also don’t know yet which features are and are not included in the free software.
Whatever the effect, with this step it is once again clear to Adobe that the company simply makes rock-solid software with a good underlying philosophy. Currently, the company’s programs are still very expensive, which drives users to (free) competitors. With a freemium version, casual users can simply enjoy the leading photo montage program. And for the pros, there’s always the paid version with even more features.
