In April we also discussed several applications. Apps that got an update, came out new or just because they’re worth mentioning. We have listed the selection below.

Rovio Mobile, the developer who came up with the game Angry Birds years ago, has optimized the game to play in this day and age; Angry Birds Classic. The traditional levels, without advertising and many hours of fun for a few cents. As we know from the game with different birds you have to destroy the pigs and racks.
Proton Calendar
We already have ProtonMail, an email service that values privacy and security. The developers of the service are now coming with Proton Calendar. This calendar app stores items with encryption. In addition, it offers even more options to be a solid alternative to Google Calendar.
OkyDoky
If you want to learn a new language, there are several apps that can help you with this. Duolingo, for example, is a well-known example. The article about OkyDoky came online over the weekend. This application is a playful language learning app that we covered in an extensive OkyDoky review. You can choose from 27 languages that you can use from Dutch in 26 cases. We discussed the app ‘Dott’ on DroidApp. With Dott you can simply take a scooter or bicycle through various (European) cities in many places. Handy as a next step after public transport, or just to discover the city. In Brussels, for example, I saw a lot of the city on a scooter from Dott. The app that comes with this works well and offers many options. We share our findings in the Dott review.
Podimo
Are you an avid podcast enthusiast? The Podimo app bundles podcasts and audiobooks into one app. However, this application does not offer this for free, but you have to take out a subscription for this. Among other things, Man man man Domien Verschuuren’s podcast is in the range of Podimo.

The Rabobank app is getting a new function. The application of the Dutch bank is provided with an option that the CO2 emissions can be shown during transactions. In this way, users should become more aware of the impact of a transaction on the environment. We have explained exactly how this works in our article about CO2 emissions in the Rabobank app.
