Spotify tests new car mode with user-friendly controls

Music service Spotify previously stopped with the Car View mode, which came in handy if you wanted to listen to music in the car. It made operating Spotify in the car a lot less pleasant. Now a new car mode is being tested.

Hopefully, those who use Spotify in the car will soon be able to use the car mode in a user-friendly way again. It is a replacement for the previously removed Car View, with which you could use the music app in a user-friendly way. The new car mode can be recognized by the circular car icon shown at the bottom of the screen, if the function is available.

With the auto mode enabled, which was discovered by 9to5Google, the interface changes to a user-friendly mode. A navigation bar with three tabs appears at the bottom of the screen. These give you access to the home screen, voice control, and your library. It provides all the basic necessities that may come in handy.

Spotify makes the feature available to a small group of users. If you are one of the lucky few, you will receive a notification in the app that you can use the car mode, if your phone is connected to the car. It is not known when all users of the music service will be offered the feature.
